NMIFF welcomes the entry of a short film “Vanichi Vani: Vani's words” from India, DIRECTED by Sheetal Petkar, Samik Roy Choudhury.

"Vani, an early teenage girl from an economically challenged family discovers the dark side of the world through her imaginary society that is situated within her resident territory. Free inside her own imaginary world and being loved by her Dad and late mom didn't change the fact that the real society still consider girls as a Doll(toy). Though her words(VANI) explain that most of them(Girls in India) are far more intelligent than just being a doll."
