3rd Navi Mumbai International Film Festival NMIFF-2016 welcomes the submission of a Professional Shorts "Questionmark" from India, Directed by Dayasagar Wankhede & Hemant Dhabade

"Questionmark" is the story all about the Agricultural present and future scope in India. A father himself finished off his existence after loosing in front of extremely huge drought. While parting his way from this world, he told his inheritor "Do not become a farmer". He kept his father's last words inside his heart and took his way to school. Since our childhood we have been taught that India is an agricultural nation. But then the real question arises, "Is this actually true"? A farmer hangs himself and media makes it a breaking news and brings his life in public, on roads. This question had risen in the heart of an actor during his schooling and he turned his back from the school. The future of the farmer is going away from the education and he is building his own school and asking us all a question, " Is India really an Agricultural nation"?

3rd Navi Mumbai International Film Festival NMIFF-2016 welcomes the submission of a Short Film "Pastor Paul" from USA, Directed by Russ Senzatimore.

“PASTOR PAUL“ tells the story of a small-town minister forced to choose between a newfound atheism and maintaining his job. No longer able to contain his feelings of disbelief, Paul lights out of church one morning before service, leaving the parishioners, church elders, and his family with many questions. Hours pass, and members of the church struggle with how to handle their absent leader. 
Upon his return, Paul is told he has a few weeks to wrap up his affairs and make room for the next pastor. His wife, Greta, reminds Paul of his commitment to family, compelling him to break the news to their son, who is studying in seminary. Facing these truths, Paul decides to stay on with the congregation, his spiritual feelings unchanged.


3rd Navi Mumbai International Film Festival NMIFF-2016 welcomes the submission of a Short Film "Neverland Now" from Germany, Directed by Georg Pelzer.

"Neverland Now" is a story about an art student, with her reckless behavior art student Kalina (21) provokes her fellow students, her teachers and sometimes even her only friend Ruth (24). Kalina convinces Ruth take a spontaneous trip to Portugal the next day and they euphorically head out to celebrate their plan. After a half-hearted attempt to steal a car they end up on a big student party. When Ruth voices doubts about the planned trip, the night takes an unexpected turn.


3rd Navi Mumbai International Film Festival NMIFF-2016 welcomes the submission of a Short Film "Scooter Accident" from Germany, Directed by Philipp Kabbohrer.

"Scooter Accident" is a story about human reaction. Solitude is bad company, it had me mislead - One night, one action, one consequence. The song "Scooter Accident" and ist accompanying video stay true to the title and demonstrate, how solitude, frustration and violence are not necessarily the best ingredients for a rosy future.


3rd Navi Mumbai International Film Festival NMIFF-2016 welcomes the submission of a Short Film "Rose" from Germany, Directed by Claudio Franke.

"Rose" is the story about two completely different women, reliant on each other, struggle to get along for one evening. When Rose is released from prison, her former prison guard, the lonesome Marie, offers her a place to sleep and work. They enjoy their first night in Marie's apartment. But soon it turns out that the two women have completely different plans: Marie tries to lock Rose in a new 
prison.

"Ratking" is the story about dealing the small town bureaucracy and the residents at campground. Fearing the anger of his boss Erik, the mad shorty Rene tries to keep a low profile at a campground near Lake Constance where he has to deal with small-town bureaucracy and bizarre campground residents.



3rd Navi Mumbai International Film Festival NMIFF-2016 welcomes the submission of a Feature Film "Nirwana" from Germany, Directed by Simon Dolensky.

"Nirwana" is the story about Din and his friend.Din and his family live in a small village several hours from the port city of Chittagong away. To feed his family, he and his close friend Amin head off to search around the city for work. After a long and disappointing day at work they stroll around the darker parts of the city. Looking for a place to sleep. When they decide to sleep in an empty cargo container, they committing a serious mistake which take them farther away from home as they had ever dreamed of. The next morning the doors of the container are closed and they are on a journey into an uncertain future.


3rd Navi Mumbai International Film Festival NMIFF-2016 welcomes the submission of a Short Film "NELLY" from Germany, Directed by Chris Raiber.

"NELLY" is the story of the story about Nelly. A car drives through the snow. Behind the wheel is Nelly. She is thirteen years old. Nelly wants to go home. Separating her from her goal are three questions, two keys, a diving tower and a racing heart.


3rd Navi Mumbai International Film Festival NMIFF-2016 welcomes the submission of a Short Film "SHORT SHAKESPEARE GAMES" from Austria, Directed by Juliana Neuhube.

"SHORT SHAKESPEARE GAMES" is the story of modern day relationships. Titania awakens – usually portrayed as a humorous reconciliation between her and Oberon – this short explores the “what if” of a failed modern relationship. Titania and Oberon get lost in empty phrases and silences that cannot cover the deep resentment and loneliness of their eon-old relationship.


3rd Navi Mumbai International Film Festival NMIFF-2016 welcomes the submission of a Short Film "Respite" from United Kingdom, Directed by Adriano Cirulli.

"Respite" is the story of a man who leads an organized life. He jogs each morning, works in the office nine to five, picks up the laundry once a week. True, he lives in his car, and he hasn’t seen his wife and daughter for a while. But don’t we all need a little break from the world every so often?


3rd Navi Mumbai International Film Festival NMIFF-2016 welcomes the submission of a Short Film "Shadow Boxer" from Austria, Directed by Jannis Lenz.

"Shadow Boxer" is the story of Shadow boxing, which is a training exercise where the boxer trades blows with their reflection. In other words, a shadow boxer is someone who fights themself. After committing a violent felony, passing an anti- violence training is Ahmets last chance to take his personal and occupational future into his own hands. A challenging test that he can withstand only with difficulty.


3rd Navi Mumbai International Film Festival NMIFF-2016 welcomes the submission of a Short Film "Richard and Gilbert" from Germany, Directed by David Sarno.

"Richard and Gilbert" is the story of a small village that is haunted by strange and awful murders. The scared villagers turn to two officials in search for help to solve the crimes. The investigations point to a very perfidious kind of murders: All victims were nibbled off shortly before or after their death. Could an animal be the cause of the strange bite marks on the faces and arms of the dead bodies?


3rd Navi Mumbai International Film Festival NMIFF-2016 welcomes the submission of a Short Film "Pulse" from Germany, Directed by Till Gerstenberger.

"Pulse" is the story of acclaimed Berlin theater actress Luise Berger who is forced to confront her deep-rooted vulnerabilities while waiting to undergo life-changing surgery at a city hospital. Exposed to the hospital's blunt routines, Luise's carefully crafted glass world slowly but steadily is forming fissures.
