NMIFF welcomes the entry of a short film “Townies and Suburbans” from India, DIRECTED by Tanya Ninan.

"Two young girls from two different suburbs in Mumbai decide to spend the day with each other in Colaba. The girls travel the distance and meet each other in town, where they then need a cab to go to Colaba Causeway. After some hunting they manage to find a cab which they voluntarily share with an old Parsi lady. The old Parsi lady has lived her whole life in town and doesn’t seem to know of Mumbai beyond Colaba. The three of them get chatty and run into some unintentionally embarrassing yet funny moments."
