NMIFF welcomes the entry of a feature documentary film "SHWAS: ASHA KI EK NAYI KIRAN (BREATH: A RAY OF HOPE )" from India, DIRECTED by DR.C.N.PIPRIKAR & ROHAN KOCHURE.

"Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of small airways of lung. Affecting 7% of world population mainly occurring in children and young adult population. In 30% cases cause is genetically and rest causes are mostly allergic origin.
It has impact on life of students who cannot continue their studies and workers as they always remain absent from their work places and also affect their marriage life but now a days involvement of better treatment, Asthma is well manageable disease but there is lacuna mostly in awareness about disease and its management.
With a view to create awareness in asthma patients indigenously I have made this documentary feature film with the means available in small place like Bhusawal in Jalgaon dist. This film is of two hour duration in which I have tried to touch all aspect about Asthma keeping all view of education and social awareness mainly."
