NMIFF welcomes the entry of a short film "REBIN: THE RIBBON” from India, DIRECTED by RAHUL V. SURWADE.

"This Film is based on the story of a Poor Man called "Sitaram" who stays in a urban village with his only daughter named "Tulase". Sitaram is a physically handicapped with his one hand disabled. By profession he sells balloons on his bicycle roaming from village to village for his survival.The Girl Tulase is studying in a village school. One day she tells her father that the school teacher has made compulsory for the girls to wear ribbons in hair palates else will not be allowed to attend the school. Sitaram assures her daughter that he will get those ribbons and not to worry about it. But the fact is he is unable to buy the ribbons because of money crisis raised due to poor business. Facing the circumstances and unfavorable conditions, does Sitaram fulfills the need of his girl ?".
