NMIFF welcomes the entry of a short film “The Insane” from India, DIRECTED by SIDDHARTH DHAKRE.

"There are two ways to deal with people in today’s world. You either generate fear in them or you simply kill them. ‘The Insane’ is a physiological thriller that describes the ideologies of two brothers. Elder one believes that generating fear is important to survive in life. Everything that’s respected and followed has fear attached to them. But the younger one thinks killing is necessary for self survival, because that ends the problem.
‘The Insane’ showcases that day when these clashing ideologies of two brothers manifest, after the younger brother get into a street fight. Standing at a cliff, while having younger brother on his feet, elder brother asks him to look at the deep pit and feel the fear. He wants him to understand his ideology of fear. What happens next changes their lives forever. The movie is an attempt to display how clash of different ideologies turn people’s life upside down."
