NMIFF welcomes the entry of a short film “KATWE-THE OTHER PEOPLE” from INDIA, DIRECTED By QAZI SUHAIB KHALID.

"Discrimination is curs we all experience irrespective religion and region... In a multicultural society like India, communal clashes which promote hatred and mistrust among different cultures show very confusing trend and logics. At some place clash within religion can be seen, at another we see people try to outdo each other in the name of geographical boundaries. We used Derogatory slang Katwe (used for specific religion) as metaphor of “cut off from society” and show that anyone can belong to “minority zone”. This can be seen in Indian itself if we have bird’s eye view of affairs.Good and bad shade can exist in any religion cast or region but the ultimate suffers is a human."
