3rd Navi Mumbai International Film Festival NMIFF-2016 welcomes the submission of Feature Film "Taandro" from Nepal, Directed by Samten Bhutia.

In the efforts to overthrow the Nepalese monarchy and establishing a People’s Republic, comrade Koshish is deputed to lead a cultural awareness programme in Chailung and around western village of Lamjung district in Nepal. After the performance consisting of political skits and songs, his unarmed troop is attacked by the government forces. Although most comrades manage to escape, tragically, one of them and an innocent village girl are killed. Koshish is shot in his left leg, but he hides himself in a nearby field. The next few days are fight for survival for Koshish. He has to deal with a physical pain of his horrific wound, and disturbing memories of the past. Soon enough, the villagers discover him and are upset because they think he is responsible for the death of one of their own. It is going to take unexpected kindness of strangers, loyalty of his comrades and sheer will power for Koshish to come out of this dire situation alive.
