AKONG – A Remarkable Life tells the story of Akong Tulku Rinpoche, Tibetan Buddhist master, compelled to flee his homeland in 1959 at the height of Sino-Tibetan tension, forced into exile in an unknown western country. Later Akong Rinpoche would become, along with Trungpa Rinpoche, one of the pioneers of Tibetan Buddhism in the West.
