3rd Navi Mumbai International Film Festival NMIFF-2016 welcomes the submission of Student Shorts "The Clay" from Bangladesh, Directed by M H M Mubassir.

This is a tragedy-tale of a minor folk-music team “Gayen dol” of a small village. Once upon a time, they were being respected by the people, when spiritual songs were preferred and treated as nourishments and essences for the passionate souls. But keeping pace with modernity is human nature. So, when the modern music ascended, these type of small singing folks started to diminish. The reasons of this diminution were, although, often vague. Simultaneously, the supremacy of a village-head upon the common folks and the harsh realities ahead and beyond the decisions as well as the choices of peoples of a rural community were portrayed through this short-film.
