NMIFF welcomes the entry of a Short Film “The world according to Michael” from Poland, Directed By Tomasz Wiśniewski.

The story of a young man named Michael who was born mute and partially deaf. His productive life developed with the loving support of his family and girlfriend. His creativity and spirituality is nurtured by his talent for making and painting religious icons. The depth of his family love is enhanced by creating an icon out of a tree planted by his grandfather. He experiences loneliness and isolation due to his handicap but reaches out to others with his art and love for nature. He becomes interested in bee keeping and works lovingly with his own hives. He may not be able to hear singing and music but his heart does sing with his love of life and his sensitivity for all that lives.
