5th Banjara International Touring Film Festival welcomes the submission of Short Film BEN AND MIMI – MIMI AND BEN from the United States directed by Eva Rini May Cragg
Synopsis: Taking care of her husband Ben, who refuses to permanently remove the washcloths tied to his hands, Mimi finds her marriage rotating in an almost surreal routine. Suppressed by his weakness, while simultaneously enabling it, she misses a connection to the outside world and to nature in all its harshness.
Acting upon these claustrophobic feelings, Mimi secretly opens a window one night and allows a caterpillar to enter their home. Getting closer to the animal, she slowly rediscovers a more primal, free and almost mystical side of herself.
