Synopsis: 
Booted from the limelight, Max Headroom now roves the video signal on the search for meaning. Once summoned to the screen, he talks to the audience in hopes of remembering his past life. As we watch Max, (and as he continues to watch us), he begins to understand what it will take to escape from his purgatory.

Synopsis: 
Emma, a Filipino writer and filmmaker, leaves the Philippines for the promise of opportunity and a new life in Canada, following the violent murder of her best friend, Camille, by Philippine police. She leaves behind her girlfriend, Tinang, who continues the fight for justice on Camille's behalf, and begins to establish herself as a creator in Canada with the help of Stallings, a producer who's fully assimilated into Canadian life and wants to forget their Filipino roots.
Despite her efforts to start a new life, Emma is, quite literally, haunted by the specter of the friend - and the history - that she tried so hard to forget.
