NMIFF welcomes the entry of a Feature Film “Babanchi Shala” from India, Directed By R. Viraj.

This film is about every father, who couldn’t control his feat of rage and commits a lethal crime. This film is about bonding between a prisoner sentenced for lifetime – Mahipat Ghorpade and his daughter – Sonali! This film is about Jailor Shrikant Jamdade’s personal and social family... While successfully overcoming the personal bitter experience of his life, Shrikant Jamdade realizes the stark reality about the prisoners in the jail. These prisoners have been departed from their families forever! To bridge the gap between the prisoners and their families... at least to make their families accept the prisoners, Shrikant Jamdade along with a social activist Neeta Satam, wishes to start an innovative program for the prisoners – Babanchi Shala (Father’s School)!
