It’s during the year’s biggest horse race event and the betting center Washington’s Tobacco looks like the ultimate hit for some fast cash. Mousse is a man of pride and principles and is fed up with living as a second-class citizen. But what happens when he faces principles different to his own?

NMIFF welcomes the entry of a Feature Film “Koan of Spring” from Korea Republic of, Directed By Lou Ma Ho.

Master Truong, the old Fearless of the emperor, is nearing the end of his life and he has not yet found his successor. The country has to be prepared for war and the Emperor is furiously impatient. He gives him two weeks to find it.Master Truong goes to visit a famous General (Master Wing) who had disappeared to become a simple fisherman. He lives with his two son (Tin and Tan) and her daughter (Lan, with a disfigured face) on the shores of the Lake Ba Bê. Master Truong knows very well the legend of the lake but this time he will really understand its meaning. Master Truong tells to master Wing he wants to test his two sons. People talked him a lot about their quality.Disappointed by their results, he tests also Lan. She has not a priori a high level of practice but Master Truong will choose her.He has finally found the person who has all the qualities to succeed him. Unhappy, one more time, things are not so simple. MasterTruong will return to the palace without a successor but with something more precious.

“Dinner For Few” is an allegorical depiction of our society. During dinner, \"the system\"  feeds the few who  consume all the resources while the rest survive on scraps. Inevitably, the struggle for what remains leads to catastrophic change. The offspring of this transition turns out not to be a sign of hope, but the spitting image of the parents.

David is an introvert, lives alone and doesn't have a stable job. He loves to collect other peoples “interesting” trash to feed his curiosity. One day, he finds an old Polaroid camera from the street which appears to be predicting the immediate future. He encounters a series of mysterious events which leads his curiosity from zero to infinity.

Severino lives a harsh live. His brother is a thief and his mother doesn\'t want her children to go to school. She prefers that they hit the streets to help out financially. Severino has dreams of playing soccer for the national team, but the opportunities he has been given in life already dictate his future.

We have been nurturing a strong passion to spread the word about NMIFF since it’s announcement.Film workshops & seminars are the areas,we feel are most useful & helpful to students & young filmmakers.Our team & associates includes experts and professionals from the industry who frequently conduct workshops on various aspects of film making.We are starting them soon as a regular planned activity of the 2nd edition of NMIFF-2015.Below are few,we conducted in our first edition:

At NMIFF 2014 event:


During the NMIFF 2014 event, an open,International workshop on “How to market & distribute Independent films globally” was organised,which was addressed by OSCAR winning film maker Mr Mark Baschet ( No Man’s Land fame) ,who was the head of our jury panel and was attended by about 200 film makers.Mr Ashok Purang (creative producer of the film "filmistan" and NMIFF festival director,an expert acting coach & theatre director) and Mr Salim Arif     (renowned theatre director & director-NMIFF cultural affairs) also shared their expertise & experiences. 












At VEDA College,Pune in August 2013:

We received an invitation from VEDA college, PAI International Learning Solutions, Pune, India  for a Seminar covering various aspects of film making and pouring in an enthusiasm for those who had been looking for an opportunity of this kind.
The seminar in the college was conducted by three of our team members. Our festival director, Mr Ashok Purang whose name smacks of accolades in the field of writing, theatre ,direction & film production spoke on various aspects of film making & script writing and simultaneously was turning a lot many eyeballs. This was followed by an interactive session where we held on to the students’ anxieties and their well carved out apprehensions and enthusiasm.


All said and done, it was a delightful experiences and we tried covering in the maximum number of issues that could possibly be raised.The grandiosity of the festival was applauded and appreciated by the enthusiasts and we couldn’t help but gape at their freshness and vigour.

NMIFF welcomes the entry of a Feature Film “Arde Lucus” from Spain, Directed By Brais Revaldería.

1700 years ago the wall of Lucus Augusti watched over the so called world in the present the descendants of the Roman and Castrexo´s (Celtic) people that lived in the area recreate the most important festival about the Roman Empire in the world. 13 years ago everything began because of the proclamation of the wall of the city as World Heritage only a few people was attending that day to this event today all the city becomes a little part of the ancient Rome bringing back the Gladiators fighting for their lives in the sand of the Circus Gods and mythological creatures running all over the city and the Soldiers and Praetorians looking to keep save the Emperor Cesar Augusto from the Castrexos threat. The Great Lucus Augusti comes to live again every 2nd weekend of June to make real one of the most original and interesting historic recreations ever seen.

Jules Felix and Matthieu are affluent teenagers who only care about one thing : having fun. And that is why Jules the leader of the group decides to take Joé on a night out with them. Joé is two years younger than them and the butt of their jokes every time all the time. But tonight Joé has had enough and fights back. Jules in turn pushes back hard leading his friends down a path where violence quickly spirals out of control and from which there is no return.

“Fikini” are nothing but bad boys rebels of failed systems. This story tells our contemporary global relation to Nazism which is unfortunately very indifferent. We simply live in the world of ignoring everything – things we should but also thing we shouldn’t ignore. The only answer is the end of this movie.

NMIFF welcomes the entry of a Feature Film “It's Better To Jump” from USA, Directed By Gina Angelone.

It’s Better to Jump” is a feature-length documentary film that gives voice to Arab inhabitants of the ancient walled city of Akka (located on Israel’s northern coast) as both the people and their town face a very uncertain future. As Akka undergoes harsh economic pressures vast social change and on-going problems among its Arab populace the present-day situation is causing Palestinian families to leave the places where they have grown roots for dozens of generations and shaped a rich culture for over a thousand years. Within their current dilemma jumping from the ancient sea wall into the rocky waters below becomes not only an expression of extreme exhilaration but also a matter of self-determination. “It’s Better to Jump” weaves together a magical story of an historic place its people and the hopes they hold beyond all limitation to make giant leaps of faith in life.

A recently widowed painter Augustin Boisvert and his two daughters Camille and Meline inherit a mysterious house. At their first visit the old guardian as well as the phantasmagorical paintings covering the walls scare Camille and Meline. Forced to stay in the house for the night Augustin watches over his sleeping daughters and draws the face of Camille before falling asleep. The next morning Camille has disappeared as well as the drawing. A beautiful young woman then appears.

Yoni and Einatti could have been lovers. But Yoni chose to take it by force. Now Einatti is out for revenge since society and family ignore her in her sorrow. At the same time “He” discovered (or hallucinated) that his fiancée is a prostitute behind his back in their love nest as her business… Is this true or false??! And how shall they close this awkward relationship?

In a not too distant future "Cinderella 3.0" and "NewBond" date in a chat room. They seem to describe themselves as boundless exaggerations of themselves.In principle, this film is about the loneliness and the loss of (sexual) identity. The only enemies in the battle of the sexes of the 21st century are time and reality.
