A movement for a separate province of Telangana, in the southern part of India, began in the ‘60s and regained momentum in the last decade. Surya, a lower middle class youth, influenced by the Telangana movement from childhood, becomes active along with his college mates. Disheartened that the movement was dying down, he takes an extreme step, the consequences of which are far-reaching and manifold.
